ITSMB Townsville is a trading arm of Raymond Charles Mercer (ABN 63 976 640 863), Townsville, Queensland. These terms cover use of this website and the general basis on which work is carried out. Work under a written quote or a managed services agreement is governed by that document where the two differ.

Quotes and pricing

Work is quoted before it starts. Nothing on this website is an offer or a fixed price - prices depend on what the work turns out to involve, and we would rather tell you that up front than surprise you on an invoice. If a job grows beyond what was quoted, we stop and re-quote rather than continuing and billing the difference.

Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Backups and data

Data can be lost when hardware fails, and some faults are already unrecoverable before we are called. Where a job carries a risk to your data, we will say so before starting and back up what can be backed up. We recommend keeping your own current backup independent of any work we do.

Access to your systems

Remote support requires you to grant access to a machine, and you can end a remote session at any time. We only access systems you have asked us to work on.
